Chicago Mercantile Exchange (part of CME Group)
CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) is the core exchange of CME Group, the world's largest derivatives exchange group, headquartered in Chicago. It traces back to the Chicago Butter and Egg Board founded in 1898 and was renamed the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 1919; CME and CBOT merged in 2007 to form CME Group. Index futures such as the Dow Jones (YM), Nasdaq 100 (NQ) and S&P 500 (ES) trade nearly 24 hours a day on its Globex electronic platform (opening Sunday 17:00 and closing Friday 16:00 Central Time, with a daily 16:00–17:00 maintenance break).
