HKEX is Asia's leading derivatives and securities market; Hang Seng Index futures and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (H-shares) futures are among the world's most actively traded China-linked equity index futures. Futures trade in three sessions (Hong Kong Time): morning 09:15–12:00, afternoon 13:00–16:30 (12:00–13:00 lunch break), and the after-hours T+1 session 17:15–03:00 the following morning; closed on weekends and Hong Kong public holidays. Mainland A-shares, China macro data and Stock Connect flows are the key drivers. No afternoon or T+1 session on Christmas/New Year/Lunar New Year eves; no T+1 on US/UK bank holidays.
