CBOT
Chicago Board of Trade (CME Group)
Founded in 1848, the Chicago Board of Trade is the world's oldest futures exchange; in 2007 it merged with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to form CME Group. CBOT is the global pricing hub for agricultural commodities and US Treasury futures: corn, soybean and wheat futures set world grain benchmarks, while 10-year and 30-year US Treasury futures are the primary tools of global interest-rate risk management. Its futures trade on the CME Globex platform with near-24-hour sessions: opening Sunday 17:00 and closing Friday 16:00 Central Time (financial futures; grain hours differ, see each symbol page), with a daily 16:00–17:00 CT maintenance break; closed on weekends.
