UST30Y tracks CBOT 30-Year US Treasury Bond futures (ticker ZB) on $100,000 face value. With the longest duration and greatest price sensitivity to rate changes, it is the standard tool for curve trades (steepeners/flatteners) and long-end rate risk management; inflation expectations and concerns over Fed independence hit the long end directly, making it far more volatile than belly issues. Prices move inversely to yields. Hours: opening Sunday 17:00 and closing Friday 16:00 Central Time, with a daily 16:00–17:00 CT maintenance break; closed on weekends.
