XNGUSD
EnergyNatural Gas / US Dollar
XNGUSD is the US natural gas price quoted in US dollars at Henry Hub, the benchmark pricing point for US natural gas. Its futures benchmark is NYMEX Henry Hub Natural Gas (ticker NG) on the CME Globex platform with near-24-hour sessions: opening Sunday 18:00 and closing Friday 17:00 Eastern Time, with a daily 17:00–18:00 ET maintenance break; closed on weekends. Natural gas is the classic weather-driven commodity: winter heating and summer cooling demand, weekly EIA storage reports, shale production and the LNG export pace all trigger large swings, with seasonality and storage elasticity far exceeding crude oil.
