STOXX50 tracks the EURO STOXX 50 — the eurozone's core blue-chip index of 50 super-cap companies across 12 euro countries (ASML, LVMH, SAP, TotalEnergies, Siemens and more), the unified benchmark for European large-cap risk and effectively Europe's tradable answer to the S&P 500. As a single-currency-area composite it is highly sensitive to the ECB's rate path, eurozone-wide PMI/inflation and political events such as French/German elections; it also underlies Europe's volatility product (VSTOXX). Futures trade on Eurex: Monday–Friday 01:10–22:00 CET, same-day sessions; closed on weekends.
