UK100 tracks the FTSE 100 index, the UK's flagship benchmark of the 100 largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Constituents are predominantly multinationals (energy, financials, consumer, pharma) whose overseas revenues are highly sensitive to sterling (a weaker pound typically lifts the index). Its futures trade on ICE Futures Europe with sessions based on London time: the week opens Sunday 23:00 London, each trading day closes at 22:00 followed by a 22:00–23:00 maintenance break, and Friday closes early at 21:00 for the weekend. The FTSE 100 is driven by global energy prices (heavy energy weighting), UK–US rate policy and European economic momentum.
