XAUEUR is the international spot gold price quoted in euros — gold's value with the dollar factor removed, effectively the combination of 'gold ÷ EUR/USD'. Its divergence from XAU/USD comes mainly from the euro itself: European investors use it to see gold's local-currency purchasing power, while arbitrageurs watch deviations from the implied rate (EUR/USD). As a spot OTC cross its broker quotes follow COMEX gold's settlement rhythm: opening Sunday 18:00 ET and closing Friday 17:00 (daily 17:00–18:00 ET settlement break), closed on weekends; quotes benchmark to the London spot market — execution and spreads depend on your broker.
