What is this

QQE (Quantitative Qualitative Estimation) is a popular MT4/MT5 trend and momentum indicator: it smooths the RSI with multiple passes, overlays a signal line, and uses their crosses to flag momentum shifts. Compared to a raw RSI, its readings are noticeably cleaner — handy for trend confirmation or a crossover-based system. The repo ships both MT4 and MT5 sources, and we verified the license per repository before packing.

How it works

  1. Smooths a 14-period RSI exponentially to produce the main line
  2. Applies an ATR-style smoothing to derive the signal line; main/signal crosses mark momentum shifts
  3. RSI period, smoothing factor, and signal smoothing are all configurable per chart

  • Sources are flat .mq4/.mq5 files — drop into MQL4/Indicators or MQL5/Indicators and compile
  • Filter crosses against a higher-timeframe trend to cut whipsaw in ranging markets
