What is this
MT5 Console is an MT5 service (a program type unique to MT5): it runs constantly in the background, and pressing the ` key summons a command-line interface for common tasks — symbol specs, order entry/closing, chart control. Built for keyboard-first traders and CLI-minded power users. The author flags it as highly experimental in the README.
How it works
- Runs as a resident MT5 service with minimal footprint — no chart attachment needed
- Backtick toggles the console; type a command and it executes instantly
- Ships a command set covering spec lookups, trading commands, and chart control
Installation (3-step summary)
Full install guide →- 1. Download
Grab the zip via the buttons above
- 2. Unpack & copy
Put .ex4/.ex5 and .mq4/.mq5 into the matching MQL4/MQL5 folders
- 3. Enable
Restart or refresh the Navigator, drag it onto a chart, allow automated trading
Usage notes
- MT5 only: the service type does not exist on MT4
- Compile and place the source under MQL5/Services (see the upstream README install section)
⚠ Risk notes
- The author explicitly warns the tool is highly experimental — wrong trade commands or data wipeout cannot be ruled out; learn the command set on a demo account first

Download FreeFrequently asked questions
▸ How is it different from an EA?
A service is its own MT5 program type: resident, chart-free, neither indicator nor EA; we file it under Utilities by function.
▸ Does it work on MT4?
No. MT4 has no service type — the repo ships Console.mq5 only.
▸ How do I try it safely?
Install on a demo account first, explore read-only commands like help/spec, then consider connecting a live account.
